Royston Veterinary Centre


Veterinary Surgeons  


David White MA Vet MB PhD MRCVS – Veterinary Surgeon

David is the Clinical Director of the practice. He has 2 grownup children, he qualified from Cambridge Vet School and has worked in many aspects of veterinary medicine including Farm Animal practice, Academia, Goverment, Industry and locums in many small animal practices. He had a prize winning herd of Charolais cattle and a flock of sheep for 20 years before coming to Royston.

In his spare time he enjoys walking his labrador "Biscotti" and cooking.

David provides veterinary cover at both the Baldock and Royston practices.


Gosia Korzeniak MRCVS – Veterinary Surgeon

Gosia graduated from Wroclaw University in Poland in 2012 and since then has done veterinary work experience in the UK and veterinary work in Poland before joining the team in November 2013. She is thrilled to be able to work with cats, dogs and other domestic pets.  In her spare time she enjoys cooking, good books, films and music, travelling and outdoor sports like running, cycling and mountain trekking.

Gosia provides veterinary cover at both the Baldock and Royston practices.


Suzi Spencer BVSc MRCVS – Veterinary Surgeon

Suzi was born in Cambridge and graduated from Liverpool University in 2002. She has worked since in mixed practice in Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire. She lives on a mixed farm with her husband, 3 children, cows, sheep, chickens, pigs, cats and 2 dogs!


Helen Chandler BVetMed BSc(Hons) Ag MRCVS – Veterinary Surgeon

Helen graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2010 and has since worked in small animal practice in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. She was born and raised in North Hertfordshire and now lives here with her son Jacob. In her spare time she helps with a local charity and enjoys music, films, travelling, baking and socilaising with friends and family.

Helen provides veterinary cover at both the Baldock and Royston practices.


Susanne Valen DVM MRCVS – Veterinary Surgeon

Susanne joined the team in Cotober 2017.

She graduated in March 2015 from Budapest, Hungary and subsequently moved to England to undertake a small animal internship at Northwest Surgeons, followed by a second one year internship at Queens Veterinary School Hospital in Cambridge.

Her main interest lies within small animal surgery and she is currently working towards a small animal surgery certificate.

Susanne lives in Cambridge with her labrador Delhi. In her spare time she enjoys spending time outdoors with friends and has become an active rower at one of the local rowing clubs.

Susanne provides veterinary cover at both the Baldock and Royston practices.

Veterinary Nurses  

Imogen Sparrow RVN – Head Veterinary Nurse

Imogen qualified as a veterinary nurse in January 2011 although she has been working in mixed practice for 16 years. She has always lived in Royston, but would like to go abroad and do charity work with wild and domestic animals. Imogen joined Royston Veterinary Centre and has quickly become a team asset. She also enjoys music, film, and socialising with friends and family.

Imogen provides nursing cover at both the Baldock and Royston practices.


Lynn Oakman – Veterinary Nursing Assistant

Lynn has worked at Royston Veterinary Centre for over 20 years so has got to know many clients and their pets. She has a cat called Chica who is very old with many age-related problems but is well loved as well as pet rabbits. Lynn enjoys raising money for local people and charities as a member of Royston Lions Club.


Sophie Bohme – Student Veterinary Nurse

Sophie is a qualified veterinary care assistant and is currently studying for her Veterinary Nursing Course. She spends most of her spare time with her pony Clover and enjoys going on fun adventures in the countryside. She also does volunteer work and fundraising for The Remus Memorial Horse Sanctuary in Essex. She also has pet Guinea Pigs and 2 dogs called "Hilda" and "Alfie".

Sophie provides nursing cover at both the Baldock and Royston practices.


Tess Colledge – Student Veterinary Nurse

Tess is now in her final year of training here at Royston and is expected to qualify during 2018.

She has a Cocker Spaniel Cross called Harley which she enjoys taking out for long walks and a tortoise called Sheldon.

In her spare time she enjoys reading, swimming and seeing friends.

Tess provides nursing cover at both the Baldock and Royston practices.

Practice Manager  


Caroll Young – Practice Manager

Caroll joined the practice in April 2015.

Caroll has lived in Royston for 35 years with her husband Tony. They have 2 grown up children and share their home with 2 rescue dogs, Max the Labrador and Fossa the Jack Russell.

Caroll has worked within the Veterinary field for 29 and a half years.

Her hobbies include crossword puzzles, walking, knitting and spending time with her grandchildren.

Caroll manages both the Baldock and Royston practices.


Debbie Ketteringham –  Head Receptionist

Debbie was born in Royston and now lives in Melbourn. She shares her house with her dog "Loulou" and 2 cats "Whiskers" and "Mitzi".

In her spare time Debbie enjoys shopping , gardening and spending time with her 2 grandchildren.


Gill Lewis – Receptionist

Gill lives in Royston with her husband Jim and their two dogs Bronte and Truly. In her spare time Gill enjoys reading, gardening, going for walks with the dogs who especially enjoy a trip to the beach and spending time with her two grown up children (Carly and James) as well as her grandchildren.



Martine TuckReceptionist

Martine joined the team in May 2015. She will be working in Royston and Baldock.

Martine lives in Stotfold with her daughters, Denver and Mia. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the gym, running, reading, listening to music and socialising with friends and family.
