Veterinary Surgeons

David White MA Vet MB PhD MRCVS – Veterinary Surgeon

David is the Clinical Director of the practice. He is married to Margaret & they have 2 children. David qualified from Cambridge Vet School and then went on to work in many aspects of veterinary care posts which include, Farm Animal practice, Academia, Defra, Industry, and has locumed in many small animal practices. His interest in farming led him to have a herd of Charolais cattle and a flock of sheep for 20 years. David provides veterinary cover at both Baldock and Royston practices.


Gosia Korzeniak MRCVS – Veterinary Surgeon

Gosia graduated from Wroclaw University in Poland in 2012 and since then has done veterinary work experience in the UK and veterinary work in Poland before joining the team in November 2013. She is thrilled to be able to work with cats, dogs and other domestic pets.  In her spare time she enjoys cooking, good books, films and music, travelling and outdoor sports like running, cycling and mountain trekking.


Irene Cummings MRCVSVeterinary Surgeon

Irene graduated from Cambridge University in 2015. She grew up on a farm in New Zealand before moving to England at the turn of the millenium with her partner.

She now lives in Cambridge with her 3 cats and enjoys reading, movies, music, and weather permitting horse riding, country walks, and gardening.

Suzi Spencer BVSc MRCVS – Veterinary Surgeon

Suzi was born in Cambridge and graduated from Liverpool University in 2002. She has worked since in mixed practice in Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire. She lives on a mixed farm with her husband, 3 small children, cows, sheep, chickens, pigs, geese, cats and a dog!


Angelika von Heimendahl MRCVS – Veterinary Surgeon

Angelika is a graduate of both Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine from the University of Berlin, who has worked in general practice, small and large animal reproduction over the last 25 years. She moved from Norfolk to Northumberland, did a residency at the RVC in London and moved to Cambridge 15 years ago. Angelika lives with her children, partner and three dogs in the middle of town, but looks after a herd of Red Poll cattle and sheep that graze the meadows and commons in and around Cambridge in her spare time. Her special interest is reproduction and the care of neonates and young animals, but she also enjoys the challenges and variety of busy life in general practice


Helen Chandler BVetMed BSc(Hons) Ag MRCVS – Veterinary Surgeon

Helen graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2010 and has since worked in small animal practice in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. She was born and raised in North Hertfordshire and now lives here with her son Jacob. In her spare time she helps with a local charity and enjoys music, films, travelling, baking and socilaising with friends and family.


Veterinary Nurses


Margaret White RVN Registered Veterinary Nurse

Margaret is a director of the practice and works alongside a team of 3 nurses. Margaret has two children, Ben and Catharine. Ben is married to Mona and they are both accountants working in London. Catharine is studying Medicine and is also living in London. Margaret worked as a nurse in St. Albans Veterinary Hospital and the Queen Mother Referral Hospital at the Royal Veterinary College. Margaret enjoys cycling and playing tennis.

Imogen Sparrow RVN – Registered Veterinary Nurse

Imogen qualified as a veterinary nurse in January 2011 although she has been working in mixed practice for 16 years. She has always lived in Royston, but would like to go abroad and do charity work with wild and domestic animals. Imogen joined Royston Veterinary Centre and has quickly become a team asset. She also enjoys music, film, and socialising with friends and family.

Lynn Oakman – Veterinary Nursing Assistant

Lynn has worked at Royston Veterinary Centre for over 20 years so has got to know many clients and their pets. She has 2 cats called Chica and Jessie who is very old with many age-related problems, but both are well loved! Lynn enjoys raising money for local people and charities through Royston Lions Club of which she is proud to be President this year.


Sophie Bohme – Veterinary Nursing Assistant

Sophie qualified as a veterinary care assistant earlier this year. She spends most of her spare time with her pony Clover and enjoys going on fun adventures in the countryside. She also does volunteer work and fundraising for The Remus Memorial Horse Sanctuary in Essex. She also has pet Guinea Pigs and recently got 2 new puppies called Hilda and Alfie.


Tess Colledge – Student Veterinary Nurse

Tess is one of our newest memebers here at Royston, she is studying Veterinary Nursing at the College of West Anglia and is hoping to qualify by 2018.

She has a Cocker Spaniel Cross called Harley and enjoys taking him out for long walks.

In her spare time she enjoys reading, swimming and seeing friends.

  Receptionists & Practice Manager


Caroll Young – Practice Manager

Caroll joined the practice in April 2015.

Caroll has lived in Royston for 33 years with her husband Tony. They have 2 grown up children and share their home with 2 rescue dogs, Max the Labrador and Fossa the Jack Russell.

Caroll has worked within the Veterinary field for 26 and a half years.

Her hobbies include crossword puzzles, walking, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Debbie Ketteringham –  Head Receptionist

Debbie was born in Royston and now lives in Melbourn. She shares her house with two dogs, Kapuccino and Loulou, and 2 cats, Whiskers and Mitzi.

In her spare time Debbie enjoys shopping , gardening and going to concerts.

Debbie is looking forward to the arrival of her first grandchild later this year!


Gill Lewis – Receptionist

Gill lives in Royston with her husband Jim and their two dogs Bronte and Truly. In her spare time Gill enjoys reading, gardening, going for walks with the dogs who especially enjoy a trip to the beach and spending time with her two grown up children Carly and James.


Martine TuckReceptionist

Martine joined the team in May 2015. She will be working in Royston and Baldock.

Martine lives in Stotfold with her daughters, Denver and Mia. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the gym, running, reading, listening to music and socialising with friends and family.
